Some Thoughts

1Chronicles 16:23,24
"Sing unto the LORD, all the earth; show forth from day to day his salvation. Declare his glory among the heathen; his marvelous works among all nations."

Praise and thanks to our gracious and merciful Lord that...

Psalm 3:8

1 Peter 1:7,8
"That the trying of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perishes, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honor and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ: Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory."

"...men ought always to pray, and not to faint." Luke 18:1
~This is our remedy for despair. What a blessing to be able to bring our requests before the infinite God and know that he will hear us when we call on him! (Psalm 3:4)

Glory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the LORD. Seek the LORD and his strength, seek his face continually. 1 Chronicles 16:11 (emphasis added)
~It is through the Lord alone that we can accomplish any good; that is why we must seek his face continually. (James 1:17)

But without faith it is impossible to please him: for that comes to God must believe that he is, and that he e is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him. Hebrews 11:6
~Promised blessing to those who seek the Lord diligently. All the words of the Lord are faithful and true and he blesses in spite of our weaknesses. He gives blessing when cursing is deserved. Praise God for his mercy! (Hebrews 4:14-16)

Pray one for another. James 5:16
~To uphold one another in prayer to the Lord, Jesus Christ, is the greatest good anyone can do for another.

  1. His word is alive! Thank-you for the encouraging post. Lovely paintings too. My grandparents had the one of the old man in their dining room. I studied it often as a child.

  3. Yes, thanks, Love, for God's encouraging Word coupled with beautiful artwork. I haven't been able to get to that just yet, but do have hopes to do so in the future, even in a journal of my own. Such a fantabulous idea!!!! Always LOVE to see these types of posts, too. And I so want to get the one of the old man praying and put it in my diningroom b/c Grandma Shirley had it in her house (I think many of our older relatives had this one. I wonder when it was painted?)
